About the Israeli Partner

Allium Medical is a professional manufacturer and provider of the most innovative long-term, full-coverage, expandable and retrievable stents for the treatment of disorders of the urinary and gastrointestinal tracts. Compared to common invasive or short-term solutions, Allium’s stent products can be used in minimal invasive surgery and they are reversible. With extensive business operation experience worldwide, Allium is paving the way for patients and physicians with new solutions to patient care in minimally invasive surgery.

Cooperation Process

CICP took the initiative to help Allium explore technology export opportunities and build business ties with Chinese enterprises. On the Chinese side, NRS has strong R&D capability and rich clinical experience in urological stents. It is backed up by a team of renowned urological experts at home and is exploring the market potential of cutting-edge stent products. Allium, on the other side, has been dedicated to improving the product performance of urological medical stents in the past decade. The site-specific stents developed and manufactured by Allium are particularly advanced and well adapted in clinical practices. They can better meet the requirements of human anatomy and the compressed organ, and promise more effective treatment of bladder and kidney-related diseases.

In 2015, CICP became the matchmaker of these two companies and contributed to mutual R&D cooperation, paving the way for secondary development and local scale development of their products.

NRS introduced the production technology of Allium’s four urological medical stents, and both sides worked together on the stents suitable for Chinese patients. The structure of these stents was rebuilt to better suit the needs of Chinese people and eventually promote the localization of a new medical stent system for urinary surgery use.

Cooperation Achievements

Allium’s 3D laminated urological medical stent system obtained the registration certificate for medical device from the National Medical Products Administration on April 20, 2018. The system includes ureteral stent, bulb urethral stent, prostate triangle stent and bladder neck stent, which are used for the treatment of diseases such as ureteral obstruction, urethral stricture and bladder outlet obstruction. In 2019, the sales of these stents registered more than 6 million yuan. The latest statistics show that urological medical stent has a huge market at home, worth about 5 billion yuan. With 10% of the domestic market share, the product can generate sales of nearly 500 million yuan. As production scale keeps growing, the demand for labor force in this field will be greatly increased, which are expected to create new jobs locally.
